Equine Bodywork &
Manual Therapy
Rosca Horsemanship
What sets Ross apart in equine bodywork is his ability to blend hands-on therapy with a deep understanding of behaviour, biomechanics, and training. Rather than treating the horse’s body in isolation, he looks at the whole picture — how physical issues connect with emotional state, posture, movement, and the relationship with the rider.
Ross is a certified Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation Therapist (cert. ESMT) with advanced training in rehabilitation therapy and a Level 4 in Equine Lameness and Rehabilitation, giving him the skills to release and improve muscular tension, improve circulation, promote healthy posture and functional movement and support recovery from injury.
Ross combines his training in soft-tissue therapies and rehabilitation with his expertise as a behaviour consultant and horseman. This allows him to identify not only areas of tension or restriction, but also the underlying causes — whether they stem from training habits, lifestyle, or communication between horse and rider.
With extensive training in a range of soft-tissue modalities, Ross has the professional toolkit to offer the individual support their body needs. Ross has received training in a number of manual therapy techniques and energy work, including; Equine Fascia and Trauma Release, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilisation, Scar treatment, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Diaphragm Release and Reiki, offering a holistic approach that considers both the physical and emotional wellbeing of the horse.
The result is bodywork that doesn’t just release tension in the moment, but actively supports long-term functionality, soundness, and performance; a horses body comes with a responsibility, not a right.
